So Do you detect a theme here?
First things first, my SP10 rocks. She sent me this awesome package and I am sooooooo excited,I now own a yarn winder!! WOOHOO. I think my hubby was just as excited as I was, in fact he wound the first skein, he also sent me to Joanns to get the umbrella swift to go with the ball winder (WOOOOHOOOOOO) There is also a keychain sock blocker kit which I have been eyeing for a while, 4 skeins of Knit Picks memories sock yarn in 2 different lovely colors, 2 bags of chocolate (which hubby had the first pieces from both bags!!! She sent me a touching card, a note book and a magnetic pad of paper. The big reveal also came in this package. My SP10 is non other than Dianne from Brit Knitter . Thank you for making my first SP experience an awesome one. I will definitely not hesitate to join the next one!
These are the socks that I was referring to in the last post. They have been sitting untouched for about 4 months. I ran out of yarn and it is of my creation so I had to get more base yarn from knitpicks and then dye it.....NOW I can use my ball skeiner to skein it, I may even wait till my swift arrives and use them together. I am still knitting away at th lily of the valley smoke ring. It is lovely, I am on the 6th repeat of 9. I expect to get quite a bit of knitting done on the ferry today. Wee one has his 1 year check up. Hopefully he has gained weight and they are pleased with his plumpness...poor boy was in the 23% for weight and 59% for height. Of course he had JUST gotten overthe stomach bug that put Big B in the hospital for dehydration!
K Again another gentle reminder to join my gosh darn contest!! Spread the word......also tell them to leave the comment in the post so it is easy to do the draw!! ALSO I had one comment yesterday and I have no way of recontacting her, it doesn't lin back to her blog. If she is drawn I will post it in my blog and hope she reads it???? HMMMMM I am new to all this stuff!!! I am building quite a little cache of goodies!!

Wow! That is a great package! :) I saw you over at Karen's blog and decided to visit. My family is all from Maine (Pelletier). Hmmm...what to do for an anniversary. Hmmm...my hubby was in Iraq for ours this year, but we talked to each other on the phone so that was a good gift for me. But, I would want to do something that involved a sitter...even if only to go to a coffee shop and be together for a couple hours. That would be nice (we have 3 children too). Have a good day!
I'm so glad you like everything. I have really enjoyed getting to know you through your blog. Your kids are precious, and your island is beautiful. Thanks for posting so many pictures!
Have you mentioned the contest on any message boards? Lime and Violet have an awesome MB.
And yes...the Rockin' Girl Blogger award is a tag. Now you get to pick your favorite girl bloggers. After reading the post again, I think I wasn't so clear on that. LOL
I love your blog because I just adore Maine and have been vacationing in your state since I was a little kid.
In fact, my hubby and I spend each anniversary on the small Maine island (accessible only by a 45-minute ferry ride from the mainland) where we got married.*
We've been married only 4 years, but each year we go out to a nice dinner - sometimes just the 2 of us, sometimes as a group. And we always get each other a gift that is exclusively for the other person. We might do a let's-get-something-for-the-house for Christmas or for a birthday, but for our anniversary, it's just a celebration of the other person. I always get jewelry! :-)
*We got married out on Long Island, in the Casco Bay.
